Miller Lévy
Using a multitude of mediums and techniques, Miller Levy makes this multidisciplinary approach his strength, defining himself as a « varieties artist ». Variety being understood in the «second degree since I take very varied paths to approach the world of Art.». This sense of humour and irony, as well as his talent, are at the service of his plastic work, which he has been developing for forty years. Fond of logic and having a certain taste for the things of the mind, he exercises his artistic activity of « touche à tout » whose creations are part of a constant approach that can be considered as a rigorous and salutary enterprise of aeration of the real. Embracing all the diversity of contemporary art techniques, such as painting, sculpture but also video, photography or installation, he works each of his works as so many scale models of reality.
“Miller Levy has a laughing eye, a skillful hand and a taste for the things of the mind: he has been putting his talent to work for their plastic expression for over thirty years. With a sense of logic and a sense of irony – the two arms of the pendulum which he arms himself to advance on a thread stretched between the letter and the image, over the abyss of the great depths of existence – he claims to be an artist of varieties: under this light banner that he floats or slams to all the winds of creation (drawing, painting, sculpture, installations, writing, video), he says he has found the legitimacy that allows him to exercise his artistic activity of touch with everything.
