By arranging the dandelion seeds as a random score within a box-like frame, Saito challenges the conventions of traditional music and opens the door to a creative interpretation of what constitutes music. Spectators are thus invited to interact with this "score" in a spontaneous and free manner, thus creating a silent but living symphony from the sounds produced by the blowing on the seeds. Each performance leaves a unique imprint on the space and creates a ephemeral but meaningful experience for those who participate. Overall, Takako Saito's silent music represents a fascinating exploration of the boundaries between art, nature and viewer participation, providing an immersive and reflective experience.
